FAQ

Questions we hear a lot

Can't find yours? Call (954) 555-0142.

What should I bring to a consultation?
A rough list of what you own (your home, bank and retirement accounts, life insurance), the names of your close family and anyone you might name in your plan, and any will, trust or power of attorney you already have. You do not need exact figures.
How does a first consultation work?
It is a 60-minute meeting with one of the firm's attorneys, in the office or by video. You talk about your family and what you want to happen; the attorney explains how the firm could help and what it would cost. There is no obligation, and the firm is not your lawyer until you both sign an engagement letter.
Is there a fee for the consultation?
There is no charge for the first estate planning consultation. If you decide to work with the firm, its fees are set out in writing before any work starts.
Do you handle probate?
Yes. The firm handles probate and trust administration in Florida. Because timing matters after a death, someone at the firm calls you back to arrange a consultation rather than booking it online.
Which kinds of matters does the firm take?
Estate planning (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives), probate and trust administration, elder law and guardianship. The firm does not handle divorce or other family-law matters, criminal cases, immigration, bankruptcy or personal injury.
